I was responsible for...
I worked in the multiple kitchens at Aspen Meadows prepping food for banquets. I also helped with plate-ups for banquets.

I accomplished...
My biggest accomplishments were working in the fine dining restaurant and performing plate-ups each night for different banquets.

My most valuable effort...
My friend and I were in charge of grilling food for many different parties each day and it was valuable to me because I got to see the smiles on people's faces when they ate the food that I provided for them.

I learned...
Chef Aaron, who is in charge of the fine dining restaurant, taught me so much about the entire restaurant industry and I really appreciate him taking the time to do that.

I will never forget...
My most memorable experience would have to be outside of work. Whenever we went hiking in the Rocky Mountains, I was in awe of how beautiful they really were.

A surprising discovery...
I now know that I don't want to work in the kitchen for the rest of my life because of the long hours and lack of days off.

Advice for others...
I would definitely recommend this internship to others but make sure you know the basics of the kitchen before accepting this internship.

I first learned about this career-building experience from...
I went to the internship presentations of other students and thought that Aspen Meadows sounded absolutely amazing.

I landed this assignment by...
I went to the People to People career fair and was offered a job two weeks later.

I wanted this experience because...
I wanted culinary experience and Aspen sounded like a blast.
