The 2018 Homecoming activities hosted by the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition will take place Thursday, October 25, through Saturday, October 27.
A celebration of accomplishments achieved by FSHN Department faculty, staff, students and alumni will take place Thursday, October 25, at the Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center in Ames. Three FSHN alumni - Milagros Hojilla-Evangelista ('90, PhD food technology), Julie Miller Jones ('68, BS home economics - food science), Barb Struempler ('81, MS food and nutrition; '84, PhD food and nutrition) - will receive the FSHN Alumni Impact Award during the banquet. This is a FREE *family friendly* event. A link to RSVP to the banquet will be made available in August.
Young Alumni Club meeting
The FSHN Young Alumni Club will meet Friday, October 26. Club members will join the FSHN External Advisory Council for lunch at noon, then will attend tours of FSHN facilities and hear updates about what is going on in the department. If club members have any suggestions for tours or discussion topics, please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.

On Saturday, October 27, all FSHN alumni are invited to attend the FREE *family friendly* FSHN Department Homecoming Tailgate. We will once again have a tent in Tent Row, north of Jack Trice Stadium. Food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be served. The tent number, as well as the game time, have yet to be announced. Regardless, our tailgate will begin four hours prior to kick-off.
Want tickets to the Homecoming football game? The FSHN Department will have a limited number of tickets available to purchase at a discounted rate. A link to register for the tailgate and to purchase tickets will be distributed in August.
