All students at Iowa State University will be required to own or obtain a laptop computer or other discipline-appropriate device beginning in fall 2020. Those who can’t afford to buy a laptop may apply by July 31, for a limited number of devices through the ISU Laptop Loaner Program. The College of Human Sciences contributes to the loaner program.

Recommendations for laptops for students in majors offered within the College of Human Sciences are on the web. Also available is information on how students can access the virtual desktop infrastructure (VID) computer labs.
