Responsibilities

Creating Standard Operating Procedures related to food safety and quality assuranc. Assisting with audit preparation, for GFCO and FSSC 22000. Updating and maintaining documents related to foreign material prevention, gluten test results, and food safety standards.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was working closely in the FSSC 22000 audit preparation. Where I was able to write many SOPs, update the Ames Plant HACCP Plan, gathered corrective actions for plant issues, and make sure to have all our food safety procedures documented and verified. This was a great responsibility and I worked very hard to follow food safety standards.

What advice would you give?

My advice to future students its to not always listen to what everyone else think you should do. Explore new opportunities, take risks, and try new things!
