I was responsible for...
Responsibilities include cold food preparation, execution of recipes, assembly of platters, hors d’oeuvres & entrees for events at The Minneapolis Convention Center.

I accomplished...
I gained many new culinary skills and knowledge of high volume production equipment. I also received a pay raise while in the same position.

I will never forget...
The most memorable event we catered was a large gala for about 2,000 people. We started preparing two days in advance for their 5 course meal. I was able to help prepare the food for all 5 courses. I also had the opportunity to be behind the scenes while the food was served. It was interesting to see all aspects of the catering business for a single event.

Advice for others...
My advice would be to take on as many new tasks as you can. The more new projects you work on, the more you will learn. Also, ask a lot of questions! Learn the reasons behind why you do certain procedures.
