Work in all facets of kitchen: preparation and clean up. Will participate in all camp activities during the evening hours. Must have ServSafe certification, or willing to obtain. Assist head cook in unloading deliveries, organizing food storage, answer questions about special diets.
With a kitchen staff of three people, we were able to feed 360 campers, counselors, and other staff 3 meals a day.
Communication is vital to an efficient kitchen. Being able to work under pressure is a part of the job and I could handle it well. Take care of yourself before you take care of others because you will get burnt out.
Advice for others...
If you want to work hard for a summer and change yourself for the better, then work at Camp Foster!
