Food science and human nutrition (FSHN) Ambassadors represent the department and serve as hosts for activities and campus visitors. As an Ambassador, you will gain leadership skills, develop networks with alumni and other professionals and learn about departmental organization.
You will help plan and represent the FSHN student body at student welcome events, Homecoming, Celebration Banquet, External Advisory Committee meetings, and FSHN Days, as well as ad hoc events such as hosting of visitors, speakers, or industry representatives. You will also meet regularly with the department chair to discuss student related topics and learn about department operations.
Expectations
Assist with FSHN Day
Greet attendees and assist with FSHN External Advisory Council meetings
Provide student input and advisement to FSHN department chair
Complete individual or group project to benefit department
