I was responsible for...
I assisted in the opening of the first franchise location of Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza. A few of my responsibilities included interviewing, hiring, and training new employees for the opening of our store. Once we were open to the public, I carried typical management responsibilities as shift supervisor. I was also cross-trained in all positions of the restaurant to gain culinary experience.
My greatest accomplishment would have to be watching the employees I hired and trained become proficient in their skills to teach others. It was such a unique and rewarding experience and to be a part of the opening of a brand new restaurant franchise.
When working as a team, we can do incredible things and achieve the "impossible". Even though a situation may seem impossible, everything can be worked through.
Advice for others...
Do not be afraid to jump into new experiences because that experience could become your new passion.
