Alyssa Edward’s passions for cooking, math, and science have led her to the path she is on today: becoming a research and development chef. Landing her dream internship at Conagra Foods has aided her in making that dream become a reality.
Maelyn Thome, a sophomore in food science, has a passion for food — specifically ice cream. She looks forward to using experiences she has gained through classes and club involvement to benefit her in the future.

Yi Shuen Lim wanted to combine her interest in food and desire to help people. After discovering the Iowa State dietetics program, she left her home country of Malaysia to pursue her dream of becoming a community dietitian.
Danielle Childers grew up surrounded by food. She decided to study culinary food science at Iowa State, in hopes of eventually working in food research and development.
