Helping You Pay for Learning Opportunities
We do whatever we can to help you get the best education. The College of Human Sciences and its programs offer approximately $2.7 million in scholarships each year to qualified students.
Undergraduate Application
The College of Human Sciences uses the same online application (OneApp) as the Iowa State University Office of Financial Aid to gather your information and consider you for appropriate scholarships from our pool of more than 100 scholarship funds.
Submitting a complete OneApp application ensures you will be considered for college level scholarships, department or school-level scholarships and university-level scholarships. The OneApp application takes about an hour to complete, and you can save and complete it at a later time if needed. You will need your Iowa State Net ID to start your application. You must complete both the general application and CHS application to be considered for a scholarship. Be sure to SUBMIT your application.
The online scholarship application page explains requirements, deadlines, and other details for CHS undergraduates (incoming freshmen, transfer, and current students).
All undergraduate students must submit their application by:
Incoming freshmen: Feb. 8
Transfer students: Mar. 5
Continuing students: Apr. 1
Know the deadlines: Students in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition Department are part of two colleges and each college has their own deadlines for scholarship submission. Be sure you know your colleges deadlines: https://www.financialaid.iastate.edu/scholarships/deadlines.
- *Students in joint Bachelor/Master programs should apply based on their classification for the upcoming academic year.
