I was responsible for...
My internship with Anita Patrickson, who is a celebrity stylist was always busy. I was always on the go and driving around Los Angeles and the surrounding areas in order to complete returns and pick-ups of clothing and accessories from showrooms and PR offices. I was also responsible for pickup and drop off of clothing at the dry cleaners. Everyday I was to clean and organize the fitting room at the office as well as helping with cleaning out old clothing and accessory pieces and taking them to second hand shops to be sold or to donation centers. As I gained experience I was able to meet clients and help with setting up and assisting for fittings. I was also able to go on solo shopping trips for items needed for clients. I was also in charge of unpacking, packing and shipping boxes of clothing and accessories. I also assisted in packing suitcases for Anita and clients for trips and events.

I accomplished...
My greatest accomplishments would have to be feeling like I conquered the city of Los Angeles. I was able to come out of my shell and meet some amazing people and make great connections for my future. I was also able to strengthen my professionalism with clients as well as co workers and supervisors. I also was really happy that I was able to prove myself and gain the trust of my supervisors which allowed me to gain more experiences and knowledge of the industry and how it works.

I learned...
The greatest lessons I learned from my experience would have to be just to never give up, always be open minded and willing to do anything that is asked of you and to always have a good attitude no matter what. I learned that it is also important to stay on your toes and be able to redirect when things don't go as planned because almost nothing does.

Advice for others...
My advice for future students would be to just be yourself and to not be shy or scared of a big city. Also, it is super important to introduce yourself to as many people as possible along your journey because connections are very important in this industry, it's all about who you know! It is also important to branch out from just your daily/regular duties, learn as much as you can about every aspect of a company and how everything works. The more you know the more useful you are to a company.
