College of Human Sciences and departmental scholarship applications due for incoming freshman, transfer, and current students: 5 p.m., online - Fill out the Iowa State University general application and the College of Human Sciences undergraduate scholarship application portions using OneApp to automatically apply for university-level, department-level, and college-level scholarships. Iowa State and CHS use your single application to gather your information and consider you for appropriate scholarships. FSHN Silent Auction: 5-7:30 p.m., LeBaron Foyer - Everyone is welcome to attend this silent auction, hosted by the Food Science Club, Culinary Science Club, Dairy Product Evaluation Club, and the Student Dietetic Association. This event provides a great environment for students to get to know faculty in a more relaxed and social setting. The proceeds from the event will help fund and support the clubs' yearly activities that promote community involvement and professional development in the food industry, including professional speakers, industry tours and sponsored events.

Application deadline for CHS scholarships that support unpaid internships or student teaching that occur during the spring of 2020: 11:59 p.m., online - These scholarships are for CHS undergraduate students who enroll in internships or student teaching experiences that have no other form of compensation. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,000. Larger awards will be considered for students serving in unpaid experiences within the state of Iowa. More».

College of Human Sciences Undergraduate Convocation: 2-3:30 p.m., C.Y. Stephens Auditorium - The College of Human Sciences convocation provides special, individual recognition for each graduating CHS undergraduate student who attends. The convocation is a separate event from the Iowa State University Undergraduate Commencement Ceremonies. The convocation will last approximately 90 minutes, and will include comments from a student speaker and Laura Jolly, dean and Dean's Chair of the college. A reception immediately follows, around 3:30 p.m., in the first floor lobby of the Scheman Building. Undergraduate students, families, and friends are encouraged to attend, as are graduate students.
