Responsibilities

My responsibilities at Mama Bosso Pizza were mainly worrying about delivery of product to customers and product/recipe development. My larger projects were all spent on helping create formulas for a large work line of people to follow so that a customer may order that product from a catalogue and have it delivered to their restaurant.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment of my internship was fully creating a formula and process from start to finish for a company in Bloomington named "Pop Up Chicken". I was given a recipe for what they called "Chicken Sauce" and was tasked with getting it to the point that we could ask the shift lead to run chicken sauce and by the next day we would have a pallet full ready to be delivered.

Learning experience

I learned a great deal about self-discipline and self-respect, as much of my time spent driving alone left me with lots of time to think about myself and look at the world around me. If I had one main takeaway from my experience I would say it would be to allow yourself to break, whether that mean take 5 or falling apart to some sad music, its good to allow yourself to do so.

What advice would you give?

A lot of your job will be what I call "brick wall work"; you gotta keep throwing yourself at the wall until either you break and need to find the right tool, or you break through and are satisfied with the results.
