I was the quality assurance intern at OSI-Major. My responsibilities included validating all metal detectors and x-ray machines at the plant, creating trainings for CCPs, and how to perform monitor checks, and chemical control. I also created GMP protocols.


My greatest accomplishment this summer was the growth that I experienced. From starting this internship to the end, I grew professionally and socially.

Learning experience

During this experience, I got to focus on quality protocols for food manufacturing on a large scale. I learned the standards for large production and how a plant runs. I also developed many quality skills for food.

What advice would you give?

Get involved! By getting involved in school and other things related to culinary science, you will learn more and go further in school and your career.
